The Spiritual Science of Annadan
According to our ancient scriptures, Annam (Food) is the manifestation of the Divine on Earth. It is the only entity that nourishes the physical body (Annamaya Kosha) while simultaneously satisfying the soul. In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna states that all living beings subsist on food, and food is produced by rain, which comes from sacrifice (Yajna).
Annadan is the highest Yajna in the Kali Yuga. The "Trupti" (contentment) seen on the face of a hungry person is a direct blessing from the Divine.
